MIR Net Zero
A bridge between Italy and India for a sustainable future.
How did the MIR Net Zero movement come about?
MIR Net Zero is not simply a brand, but a spontaneous movement born in the heart of the MIR NetZero Vision 2047 international summit, held in Mangalore on February 20, 2026. The event was conceived with a historic and ambitious goal: to accelerate the ecological transition and support India's total decarbonization path scheduled for 2047, the year in which the nation will celebrate the centenary of its independence.
During this crucial summit, the urgency to transform vision into concrete actions united institutions, investors and companies, giving life to MIR Net Zero: a collaborative ecosystem aimed at implementing real technological solutions for a zero-emission future.
A Strategic Summit: Italian institutions and companies at the forefront
The success of MIR NetZero Vision 2047 has rested on solid foundations thanks to an unprecedented international synergy:
Government participation:
The summit was attended by authoritative government figures and experts in Indian energy policies, ensuring direct alignment with the country's regulatory frameworks and development plans.
The excellence of Made in Italy:
We had the honor of leading and presenting a delegation of leading Italian companies in the green economy, green building and renewable technologies sectors. This combination has shown how Italian innovation can play a key and strategic role in the decarbonisation of one of the world's largest economies.
Our Project in MSEZ: The Italian Industrial District with Circular Economy
The intentions born during the summit are already translating into infrastructural reality within the MSEZ (Mangalore Special Economic Zone). Here, MIR is promoting the creation of a cutting-edge green supply chain: a real Italian industrial district based on the healthy principles of the circular economy.
The life cycle of wood
Sustainable enhancement of the raw material and implementation of reuse logics and advanced industrial green building.
Innovative technologies
Integration of the latest generation technological systems for energy efficiency and carbon footprint reduction.
The first piece: MIR Suncol BIPV PVT LTD
Within this district, on a dedicated area of 5 acres, the technological flagship of the supply chain will be built: the first BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaics) company, called MIR Suncol BIPV PVT LTD. This state-of-the-art industrial plant will be able to produce as much as 1.5 million square meters of photovoltaic glass sheets per year, revolutionizing modern urban architecture and transforming Indian buildings from passive consumers to active producers of clean energy.
